SAT - a academic test for students to be able to be in a university in the USA, is also a compulsory requirement for students who is dreaming of having a bright future in such develop countries like the US. 1. Fully understand about SAT tests.
The most basic thing you need to do is you have to understand the SAT tests well. SAT examinations include two parts which are Math and Reading - Writing. People think the knowledge you learn in books, how to calculate, how to reason, etc. help you pass the SAT easily, but forget a very important point is learning new words. In SAT test papers, new words are usually related to many professions. Learning 30 words a day continuously in 3 months can barely help you to get an average score. 2. Learn by heart academics phrases in SAT.
You can use some course books, any materials to study by yourself. As it was said, SAT has lots of new words and academic phrases, so it is not a waste of time when learning and reviewing words every single day. To avoid forgetting words, you should set goals and methods to study, also in period of time before doing the test, you should only use English.

When you are ready for your first essay, make sure you understand the essays and the arguments that the author is heading - not just about the topic and your position in it. Underline the important connective words (for example, in contrast, etc.) and think how them help building up the author's main point. Highlight the crucial phrases, the effective words and the ideas when you come across them in the text.
Think about what the author is trying to deliver. What supports the idea in a paragraph? Is the evidence related, convinced and arranged clearly? Does the argument have any strength or weakness? Does the text leave any important information which can convince you as a reader?
6. Spend time planning.
Like carpentry, building an excellent essay bases on a good preparation. Make sure you are answering the questions and not going off course. Spend a few minutes at the beginning to draft your answers, which can save you lots of time correcting after you finish the whole draft. You must be clear about the following in you draft:
Look through the proof that the author use in the essay.
Discuss about how the author use reasons to develop his ideas and arguments.
See how the author use rhetorical words to guild the reader and convince them that the ideas are true.
7. Make it a short and closed essay.
A long SAT essay usually receive higher score, however, with good preparation, you can also get good score when writing a 3-paper-essay. If plan it well, you will have enough idea to write without worrying that you might miss any ideas. If your handwriting is big, practice writing more. You should work effective by using what you have in your room. Keep an eye on spacing and indentation, especially first line of each paragraph. Don't skip lines, they can be filled with some other words.
8. Add some good arguments into the essay.
To have a good essay, don't forget use some good words you find on the internet, some statistics, or any quotes you remember when you were preparing for the exam. Use them wisely, these tools can help you a lot in your writing.
9. Set a goal for scholarship.
In study as well as work, you need to set a goal to push yourself to study or work harder to achieve it. Full scholarship goal is set by lots of students and some of them have successfully achieve it.
