Tóm tắt lý thuyết thì hiện tại hoàn thành – Present Perfect Tense

Thì hiện tại hoàn thành (Present Perfect Tense) dùng để mô tả một hành động/ sự việc xảy ra trong quá khứ nhưng vẫn kéo dài đến hiện tại và có khả năng tiếp tục diễn ra ở tương lai.

Một số kiến thức cơ bản bạn cần nắm về thì hiện tại hoàn thành gồm:

Công thức cấu trúc thì hiện tại hoàn thành

Khẳng định	S + have/ has + VpII Ví dụ: Linh has done her homework since 3 p.m (Linh đã hoàn thành bài tập của cô ấy từ 3 giờ chiều.
Phủ định	S + have/ has + not + VpII  Ví dụ: Annie hasn’t come home since 6 p.m. (Annie vẫn chưa về nhà từ 6 giờ tối)
Nghi vấn	1. Yes/No Question Q: Have/ Has + S + VpII +… ? A: Yes, S + have/ has. No, S + haven’t/ hasn’t. Ví dụ: Q: Has your mother told you about the story? (Bố bạn đã kể câu chuyện đó chưa?) A: No, she hasn’t/ Yes, she has
	2. Wh-Question WH-word + have/ has + S (+ not) + VpII +…? Ví dụ: Where has he been? (Anh ấy đã ở đâu vậy?)

Cách dùng thì hiện tại hoàn thành

Dưới đây là cách dùng thì hiện tại hoàn thành bạn cần nắm:

• Mô tả một hành động/sự việc bắt đầu xảy ra trong quá khứ và tiếp tục diễn ra ở thời điểm hiện tại

Lưu ý: Trong câu thường bao gồm các cụm từ: today, this morning, this evening.

Ví dụ: Mike have played tennis for 7 years (Mike đã chơi tennis 7 năm rồi)

• Diễn tả một hành động, sự việc đã xảy ra nhiều lần trong quá khứ.

Ví dụ: He has come to class late 8 times this month (Anh ấy đã đến lớp trễ 8 lần tháng này)

• Mô tả một kinh nghiệm nào đó cho tới thời điểm hiện tại

Lưu ý: Trong câu thường có dùng “ever” hoặc “never”

Ví dụ: Mr. Ken has never travelled on his own before. (Ông Ken chưa từng đi du lịch một mình)

• Mô tả một hành động/ sự việc vừa mới xảy ra xong

Ví dụ: He has just arrived in HCM city (Anh ấy vừa mới đến Thành phố HCM).

• Dùng để thể hiện khi thời điểm xảy ra sự việc không quan trọng hoặc không được biết rõ.

Ví dụ: Mie has gone home. (Mie đã đi về nhà rồi)

• Mô tả một hành động/ sự việc vừa mới xảy ra và hậu quả của hành động/ sự việc đó ảnh hưởng đến thời điểm hiện tại

Ví dụ: We have lost our way, so we need to ask for directions (Chúng tôi đã bị lạc đường, nên chúng tôi phải hỏi đường đi).

• Mô tả một hành động/sự việc ở quá khứ, nhưng quan trọng ở thời điểm nói

Ví dụ: The boss has announced the opening of a new branch! (Ông chủ đã công bố khai trương một chi nhánh mới!)

• Mô tả một hành động/sự việc chúng ta không biết rõ thời gian diễn ra

Ví dụ: I have seen him somewhere ( Tôi đã gặp anh ấy ở đâu đó rồi).

Dấu hiệu nhận biết thì hiện tại hoàn thành

Thì hiện tại hoàn thành được nhận biết thông qua các dấu hiệu sau

Dấu hiệu 1: Trong câu bao gồm các trạng từ:

• Before: trước đây
• Ever: đã từng
• Never: chưa từng, không bao giờ
• For + quãng thời gian: trong khoảng (for years, for a long time,..)
• Since + mốc thời gian: từ khi (since 2020,…)
• Yet: chưa (dùng trong câu phủ định và câu nghi vấn)
• …the first/ second…time : lần đầu tiên/ thứ hai..
• Just = Recently = Lately: gần đây, vừa mới
• Already: rồi
• So far = Until now = Up to now = Up to the present: cho đến bây giờ

Ví dụ: He has not eaten dinner so far. (Đến giờ anh ấy vẫn chưa ăn tối)

Bài 3: Hiện tại hoàn thành với Since và For

Viết lại các câu sau sử dụng từ hoặc cho và động từ cung cấp. Bạn có thể phải thay đổi một số từ, nhưng giữ nguyên nghĩa.

Ex. Bill and Rita got married twenty years ago. Bill and Rita have been married for twenty years. (be)

Bài 4: Thì hiện tại hoàn thành với Ever và Never.

Thực hành sử dụng thì hiện tại hoàn thành bằng cách đặt câu hỏi bắt đầu với cấu trúc “Have you ever…?”. Sử dụng các từ được cung cấp để đặt câu hỏi của bạn.

Ex. you /ever/ be/ to France – Have you ever been to France?

Then answer each question using either a positive or negative reply.

Ex. Have you ever been to France? Yes, I have. I’ve been there several times. or Yes, I have. I was there last year. or No, I haven’t.
