At eTEST, I applied for SAT courses, and I always felt very impressed with the friendliness and dedication of the teachers here. They have helped me to achieve great progress in all skills including listening, speaking, reading, writing and maths in SAT. In addition, I was also able to improve my social knowledge about which I had not known before I studied at eTest. This year, eTEST provided me the chance to become a tutor, in which I was able to help the next generations of students to improve their ability in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in English and to obtain higher scores in exams such as TOEFL or IELTS
ETEST has outlined a truly effective learning pathway for me, from studying IELTS, SAT, Academic Essay writing, career orientation to organising volunteer activities, science summer camps. The school has provided me the opportunity to interact with teachers who are teaching and studying at prestigious universities such as Harvard, MIT, UC Berkeley, NUS, and etc. ETEST has created a stimulating environment that helps me achieve my dream.
My path to college readiness must be said to be closely associated with eTest, Ms. Tram, Ms. Lam, and very lovely staff here. As often being joked by us students, eTest seems to be our "camping ground" during the university submission process. This is not only the place where I spent hundreds of hours writing articles rigorously to meet the deadline, but also my second family to which I happily shared the news on the day I was admitted to University.
I remember, when Ms. Tram from Harvard read my first-draft, she said: "Yours is so desolate." The comment was simple, but it caught me by surprise. In my language class in America, I was an expert in writing such stylist articles: embedding a sad and pessimistic tone, whether it was letters, poetries, stories, etc. because I thought sadness is memorable. My teachers always complimented me, and no one pointed it out until I met Ms. Tram, who emphasized the "inspirational" element in writing essays. That first impression could be said to be the start of my non-stop journey to redefine my self, to discover deeper and deeper into my personality, and draft an essay that can be (fun) and meaningful. In addtion to Ms. Tram, Ms. Lam was also a very important person in helping me complete the extremely complicated procedures of college admission in the United States. Despite her busy schedule, she helped me check my portfolio many times to make sure I didn't make any mistakes. Even when the application process ended, both of them are still mentors that I always trust and ask for advice when needed.
