IELTS Writing Task 1 Solution (April 24, 2021) Band 8.0+ from IELTS Examiner

The maps show the transformation of Bell Hill Farm from a farmstead in 1976 to an Environment Centre in 2006 .

Overall, changes were made to the machinery storage lot, the corn plantation, farm yard, and animal housing areas over a 30-year period.

In 1976, Bell Hill Farm was made up of a plethora of old-style farmland equipment and land planning and development. In the upper left of the 1976 map, one will notice the large farm machine storage area. 30 years later, this piece of land was used for visitor parking. Next, it can be seen that the corn field was converted to a multimedia centre. Two further major changes include the central farmyard being converted to safe outdoor recreation area and the cowsheds and chicken coops to student housing. The forked road to the left of the central farmhouse, and the farmhouse itself have remained the same over the 30-year period.
