A large variety of highly advanced machines have impacted nearly every aspect of modern life and society; from the design of towns and cities, to the layout of homes and automobiles, machines have changed the world. Currently, autonomous devices aid people at both their dwellings and their workplaces. This essay will discuss the advantages that these technical marvels present to modern people. 

Laborious housework has all but become a thing of the past. Firstly, it is no longer the case that people need to do much hand washing of clothing and dishes for eating. For example, in many homes around the globe, devices like garment washing machines, dishwashers, and automated vacuum cleaners: like the Roomba, assist residents in completing their previously backbreaking household chores. Secondly, extreme heat and cold are no longer issues for many people. With the advent of the programmable electric heater and air conditioner, mastery of the internal temperature of the home has become a reality. The next paragraph will discuss workplace machines. 

The typical office has been transformed by the installation of various pieces of robot-like equipment. Some companies have employed the usage of automatic mail delivering machines. Although this has taken some work away from human employees, it has also guaranteed quick and efficient delivery of important documents. Another massive time-saver is the modern-day photocopier. Far from them predecessors, these newer machines can be programmed to perform many tasks such as the sorting of documentation to the stapling of custom sized booklets. 

In conclusion, robot-like machines have been extremely beneficial to modern man. They have increased leisure time by making housework less labor intensive, they have allowed people to regulate the temperature of their homes regardless of the season, and they have improved corporate efficiency. In the future, people all over the world may have more free time undertake creative projects thanks to technological advancements.
